The color of the walls is perfect
I can't even tell you how much I love my studio space. I went for the first time today, and spent an hour and a half. It felt like an hour and a half of pure heaven. No interruptions, a quiet, sunny, yellow room. Cate was painting on the other side of the room, and the oil paints smelled like my Muse's wings. She tiptoed over (my Muse, not Cate) and kissed me on the forehead, rattling back to the windowsill when I looked up at her, smiling.
There is a bathroom in the space, which is nice and practical.
I wrote a list of the projects I want to work on right now. There are nine things on the list. A little giddy with all the freedom?
Tonight we went out to a fire performance show on the beach. I didn't end up seeing it, since the baby was extremely fussy and I drove myself home. But Leafy entertained us for half an hour by dancing with his crazy moves in the spotlight area in the sand. He couldn't see that people were watching him, because of the lights, so he just went for it. It was awesome.
Videos that must come about: Leafy dancing. Samosa making. Kid A on the Rubik's cube.
Whoa. More projects.
The samosas turned out great, by the way. Tomorrow I'm going to attempt some prawn curry for our community meal.
Today we mused on the Beth part of Psalm 119. We chewed on it, crunchy and sweet.
I will meditate on your precepts, and contemplate your paths.
Straight, lined with trees, filled with kindness, not littered with bitterness or worry. Lovely, lovely, lovely.
