Over ten weeks, we will explore:

* finding the words to tell your story, in your voice

* the rich practice of writing daily

* brainstorming and intuitive writing

* making a home in your soul by writing through difficult emotions

* self-soothing in writing, finding a sense of separate self

* humor, joy, and gratitude as antidotes to drudgery

* expanding your ideas and going beyond your limits

* writing into beauty, learning how expansive and loving your heart can be

I’m Rachel Devenish Ford, the author of fifteen books and the Journey Mama blog, writing that has had readers writing to me again and again, expressing that they feel less alone through hearing my story.

I have always written about my journey through anxiety and depression and, more recently, into an understanding of my autism and how writing soothes and grounds me. I have cultivated an honest way of writing that searches for and finds joy among the ordinary things in life.

I am a mother of five children, and I understand the process of fitting writing into a busy life and the support we need to do it.

With my community, I run a meditation space in the Christian tradition and have guided hundreds of circles over the last fifteen years, gaining skills in listening and guiding conversations with people of many backgrounds and beliefs.

I have focalized women’s circles and art meditations, devotion circles, and retreats.

I’m an intuitive artist, a life-long journaler and writer, and a woman who always has a foot in different worlds. After living in Canada, the US, Nepal, and India, my family moved to Thailand. Part of my work here is teaching young people writing skills, which I love!

I believe in everyone having a voice, which is why I love the practice of talking circles. Witnessing people learning to express themselves brings me great joy, and that is why I am so excited to offer this course!

this course is for you if:

* you’ve been longing to include a practice of writing in your life and haven’t known how to start

* you want a circle of encouragement as you begin work that will change your way of seeing the world

* you have found a writing practice difficult to maintain

* you want to get past your fears and perfectionism around writing

* you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to write, but I don’t know what to write about.”

* you already love to write but need some new techniques to help you flourish in writing

* you find yourself wondering how to express the ideas you know are inside you

* you are always admiring (or even envying) people who write about their inner world
