The silence.
I’ve been making a video to show you, and it’s been taking a long time because I’m not very good at making videos.
Chinua pulled out the camera one day and chased the kids with it, and in the simple footage of about ten minutes, he captured some of what our home is like here, so I thought I’d put it to music and put it up.
I have just a few more things to do, and I’ve run out of steam tonight, so I’ll put it up tomorrow. It’s an uneventful, sweet kind of video.
Video making. Packing. Today I pulled out the warm clothes that I’ll pack just in case it’s still on the chilly side in Canada. Right now it is very hot here, hot and humid, so I don’t even like to touch warm things. Don’t even like to look at them. You want to show me your sweater? NO THANKS. Unless you can take a picture of yourself wearing it in the snow, because that balances things. I can handle that.

As if mention of Pomo Baskets and Mary Ward in the same sentence wasn’t enough. Now we have this video which captures some of what your home is like there, but which isn’t ready to post yet.
That’s OK. I’ll just stay here, pacing up and down my commentbox, waiting.

It’s unseasonable warm right now in Canada, 16′C as I write this in Ontario. I would say pack a spring jacket but you’re going to feel the cold more so by all means pack a sweater!
Yes, we’re leaving the duvet and flannel sheets on the bed figuring your blood will need that warmth.

Hi, I live on Vancouver Island B.C. and it was beautiful here today maybe 11 c but in the mornings still frost and some days still really chilly.I hope you guys have a great time back in Canada.When I used to live in southern Georgia ( the only hot place I have lived) I didnt want to touch my cool weather clothes as I was soo hot I couldnt fathom actually being cool again.
Sorry, you’ll have to touch the sweater in order to pack it. I live on the prairies and it is -5 degrees today…

you sound like me a few weeks ago
I had to pack my whole house before our trip to the states, because we’re moving FOUR days after we get back to Mexico!! We’re in the states right now visiting churches…and as I packed my suitcase I didn’t want to pack anything for cold weather either…however, it has been unseasonably warm here up until today…we woke up to snow!! And now we’re thankful for our sweaters 
….and my kids are excited out of their minds! It’s their 2nd time in their life to see snow! And it is BEAUTIFUL.
