I'm getting in early to wish you and the whole Journeyfamily a very merry Christmas and happy new year. I now find myself unable to think of Jesus without seeing you towering over him, hehehe, laughing really does make you taller.

Thanks for the wonderful posts you have written this year, and thanks for your unique and precious sense of humour.

I look forward to more fun with you next year,

Eleanor from your commentbox xxxx

So my husband, daughter and myself live in a 375sq ft apartment, some of that is storage so it is actually smaller. We have an apartment sized oven. Yesterday I endeveared to make pizza. I make the dough, chop the toppings, put it all together and go to put it in the oven. Alas!! My pizza pan won't fit into my oven. So I started to cry. Shortly after my break down I cried about the fact that I cried rather than laughed and made the situation funny! Thank you for your post, it was very encouraging !:) It shows me that it is possible to laugh in these situations and that if I SLOW down to appreciate the situation that just might happen.

Lots to chew on here---thinking I wouldn't have handled such a setback with as much grace as you. Perhaps I sell myself short.

And yes, my heart would have stopped at the sight of all the red! Pigment-splattered or clean, Solo is adorable.

My goodness, he is one gorgeous child! Look at those teeth! He looks so much more mature than my little one, and they are only weeks apart in age. I love reading about your days. I love that you stop to smell the roses. There will always be laundry and dishes, but how often does one get to experience a barge, a strike, and a family walk on a hot and dusty road? Those are the spices of life! (And thank you so much for sharing!)

The parenting that kids (them and us) remember is ONLY the way the parent(s) respond. Thanks for sharing and reminding us. And for the lovely image of the three dirt pyramids barging under your bridge. mark

I must say that Solo looks a lot better without the splotches all over his face, although it did remind me of a 1 year old eating spaghetti. What an eventful day, and you sounded like you took it all in stride. You are amazing... Crazy - a lie down strike, you would think they would lift the people off the road and set them somewhere else. I know that would not be allowed in Canada, they would quickly be moved. Just something else to remember about your sojourn in India.

Love you!
