I just referred to your post on mine, and I may have been a bit too pushy on mine. But come on! Silence encourages complacency. So thanks, journeymama for opening this up and giving me the chutzpah to get down and dirty on poverty.

What an amazing man with such a vision - and it's all so true. Love thy Neighbour! Thanks for sharing this. It is something that people could miss and oh so important.

I was watching something about global warming on tv and it was a conference coming up here in Vancouver. One of the sayings was "it only take one person" to make change, and it's something to remember. What can I do to change extreme poverty? What can I do to help the fight against AIDS. In Canada, Stephen Lewis who was Canada's ambassador against AIDs has a organization that totally send money to combat AIDS. There are many others if you google them.

Thanks for sharing a wonderful and challenging message.

Tears, tears, tears. It's easy to forget the hardships of the world when we live in our own little bubbles. Thanks for sharing this clip, I don't know that I would have seen it otherwise.

"If we are with them, then God is with us." - This is something that I'll try to not ever let out of my mind. You should check out a video my brother in law made after taking a trip to Central America recently - it's pretty motivating as well: www.thechindo.blogspot.com (it's the most recent post)

Thank you for sharing that mouthful with us...Bono's SO great, but he serves a Greater God and that's what makes him so real, and so wonderful. Truth is truth no matter who speaks it, but the truth in the message is so much more receivable and has so much more power when spoken by one who walks in Love, no? Really beautiful speech. I wrestle too, with the question of what part will I play in being Hands and Feet to the hurting of the world, but you-you are already touching so many! Thanking my God for the Journeymama's of the world today.
